As telecommunications grows companies must handle burgeoning demand. The largest telecoms are finding ways to market their own inventions as well as to partner with other perhaps smaller innovators to bring the greatest number of customers access to the internet (including phone) and streaming services. The means of how this data reaches your devices can be through a wireless signal in the air or between towers, satellites in space, or in the case of fiber optic and broadband cable, lines buried underground that transmit data using copper wires (broadband cable) or light beams (fiber optic). The landscape of service providers is complex, competitive and continually evolving.
