DISH Network Corporation owns the direct-broadcast satellite provider DISH Network as well as Sling TV and Boost Mobile. “DISH” is an acronym for Digital Sky Highway. It has approximately 8 million wireless subscribers under the Boost Mobile brand and has had an agreement to partner with T-Mobile for seven years to use the T-Mobile network. DISH is working on a plan to deploy 5G broadband service to 70% of the U.S. population by mid-2023. DISH also has agreements with AT&T that will let DISH wireless customers roam on AT&T’s 4G and 5G frequencies while it continues to build out its own 5G. Overall, DISH Network has approximately 14 million pay TV subscribers. Sling TV, which it owns, has approximately 2.25 million subscribers.
