Monumental Sports Network is the regional TV home of the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics. On Xfinity, it's on channel 10 in SD and 846, 856 or 1256 in HD, depending on where you live. Verizon Fios carries it on 576 in HD, and DIRECTV has it on 642. Without cable, you can stream it with Monumental+ for $19.99 a month or $179.99 a year if you live in the network's home area.

For the home connection, compare Xfinity and Verizon Fios. Our NBA on Peacock guide covers separate national basketball assignments.

These are examples from Monumental’s September 24, 2025 provider guide, checked October 28, 2026. Confirm the current number and provider name for your address before ordering. Channel numbers can change by town, so search your provider's lineup with your ZIP code before game night. When games overlap, Monumental puts one on a second feed, often called MNMT2.

Watching without cable: Monumental+

Monumental+ is the network's streaming service. A direct subscription costs $19.99 a month or $179.99 a year, which works out to about $15 a month. You need to live in Monumental's home TV area, which covers Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and nearby areas. Enter your ZIP code when you sign up to confirm.

If you already get Monumental through a participating TV provider, such as Xfinity, Verizon Fios or DIRECTV, you can sign in to the Monumental+ app with your provider login at no extra cost.

Which games are on Monumental

Monumental carries most Capitals and Wizards games and Mystics games in season. Some games air only on national networks, such as ESPN, ABC or TNT for hockey and ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock or Prime Video for basketball. Those games won't be on Monumental or Monumental+. Check the team schedule for each game's TV listing.

Is Monumental+ cheaper than cable?

The current $179.99 annual price is less than twelve $19.99 monthly payments ($239.88), but the right comparison depends on how many months you will watch. Include any separate national-game services and confirm renewal terms. If an existing TV package includes the network and app authentication, test that login before paying twice.

Streaming live games works best on a steady connection. See our streaming speed guide and compare providers at your address. You can also see how other regional networks work in our guides to NBC Sports Boston and Fubo's regional sports networks.
