Xfinity TV Plans 2026: TV Core vs Sports & News TV vs TV Plus vs TV Premium

Updated

Xfinity's live TV page lists Sports & News TV at $90 a month, TV Plus at $105 and TV Premium at $135, checked October 26, 2026. Comcast's December 2025 announcement listed TV Core at $65 and World Soccer Ticket at $95, but Xfinity's live page does not show current prices for those plans. Availability, channel lineups and offers can vary by ZIP code, so verify the plan and price for your address before ordering.

Before choosing a bundle, compare Xfinity StreamSaver with your streaming subscriptions and review Xfinity gateway versus your own router for the internet equipment side of the bill.

The old names are gone. TV Core replaced Choice TV, TV Plus replaced Popular TV and TV Premium replaced Ultimate TV. Comcast says the new plans use one all-in monthly price that includes the main fees and the first X1 4K TV box. Taxes and extra boxes still cost more.

Which plan gets you which sports channels?

  • Local NFL and college games on CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC: every plan, starting with TV Core. An antenna gets the same channels free.
  • ESPN, ESPN2 and FS1: Sports & News TV and up. Monday Night Football and most college football need at least this tier. See what channel FS1 is on Xfinity.
  • Spanish-language soccer on ESPN Deportes and Fox Deportes: World Soccer Ticket.
  • NFL Network, NBA TV and MLB Network: TV Premium, or add the More Sports & Entertainment package (listed at $9.95 a month on xfinity.com) to a lower plan. The add-on also brings NFL RedZone during the NFL season.
  • Regional sports networks: Availability depends on your market, so check the lineup for your ZIP code.

What the price includes, and what costs extra

Comcast describes the new plans as all-in pricing with no contract. The first X1 4K TV box and voice remote are included, which xfinity.com values at $14 a month. Sports & News TV, World Soccer Ticket, TV Plus and TV Premium also include 300 hours of cloud DVR, and xfinity.com lists ESPN Unlimited access with Sports & News TV, TV Plus and TV Premium. Expect to pay extra for:

  • Taxes.
  • Additional TV boxes beyond the first.
  • Premium channels and add-on packages.
  • Pay-per-view and sports packages such as NFL Sunday Ticket.

The quickest way to save is the bundle. Adding Xfinity Internet or another Xfinity service takes $10 a month off any TV plan. To change channels later, read how to add channels to Xfinity TV.

When streaming is cheaper

If you mainly watch Netflix, Peacock and Apple TV, a cable plan may be more than you need. Xfinity's StreamSaver bundles those three apps at a discount for Xfinity customers. If you want a handful of live channels, compare a skinny TV bundle with TV Core plus an antenna. Live TV streaming services usually cost about as much as Sports & News TV or TV Plus once you add sports, so compare lineups line by line.

How to pick an Xfinity TV plan

  1. List the channels you can't skip. Sports networks drive the price more than anything else.
  2. Check your local lineup. Enter your address on xfinity.com, since channels and regional sports networks vary.
  3. Price it with internet. Check whether Xfinity offers a bundle discount for your address.
  4. Count your TVs. Only the first box is included.
