If you live in South Florida, you may be able to get Xfinity internet working today. On October 5, 2026, Comcast launched same-day WiFi across South Florida. New Xfinity Internet customers can have the Xfinity Gateway delivered within hours or pick it up the same day at a local store, then set it up themselves in minutes. Here's how it works, the 3 p.m. cutoff, who's eligible and what to check on price before you order.
How same-day WiFi works, step by step
- Order online at xfinity.com. If your ZIP code and everything in your cart qualify, the order is routed for same-day delivery automatically. You can also choose free same-day pickup at an Xfinity store.
- Beat the cutoff. Place delivery orders before 3 p.m. local time. Orders placed after that arrive the next day.
- Get the Gateway. A Roadie driver drops it off, often within hours, or you grab it at the store.
- Self-install with the Xfinity app. Plug in the Gateway and activate it in the app. If you're switching from another provider, you can reuse your current WiFi name and password so your devices reconnect automatically.
Comcast also says new customers can use its network of more than 23 million Xfinity WiFi hotspots as soon as they sign up, before the Gateway arrives.

Who's eligible, and what doesn't qualify
- New Xfinity Internet customers in eligible South Florida ZIP codes. Same-day delivery is for residential customers only.
- Equipment that qualifies: cable modems and gateways, plus TV boxes. Other products may be available only for store pickup.
- Not eligible: military bases and other places with limited access.
- Availability also depends on inventory, order time and the cutoff, so the checkout page has the final say.
Comcast says it plans to offer same-day Gateway delivery to nearly all new Florida customers across its service area by the end of 2026.
Check the price before you order
As of October 7, 2026, Xfinity's Miami page listed 300 Mbps for $45 a month with a 5-year price guarantee for new customers. The offer requires autopay from a stored bank account and paperless billing, excludes taxes and fees, and ends October 25. The plan includes unlimited data and WiFi equipment with no contract.
One caution: When we checked on October 7, Xfinity's same-day WiFi page still showed promotional prices marked "Offer ends 9/21." Don't plan around those. Go by the price shown in your cart for your address. For more on Xfinity's long-term pricing, see how Xfinity holds prices steady for 5 years.
Who same-day WiFi is best for
