What Channel Is Starz on Spectrum? Channel Numbers, Which Plans Include It and Cheaper Ways to Stream
By RSINC editorial team | Updated

Starz is in Spectrum's premium channel range, and the exact channel number depends on your market. There is no single nationwide number. The quickest way to find Starz is to press Guide on your Spectrum remote and search for "Starz," or check Spectrum's online channel lineup with your ZIP code.
As for which plans include it, Starz comes with Spectrum's top TV plan, Stream TV VIP. The Signature and Pro plans don't include Starz, though you can add it as a premium channel. If you only want Starz, streaming it directly or through Prime Video usually costs less than upgrading your TV plan.
Which Spectrum TV plans include Starz
| Plan | First-year price | Price after year 1 | Starz included? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stream TV Signature (150+ channels) | $100/mo | $130/mo | No, add-on available |
| Stream TV Pro (160+ channels) | $110/mo | $140/mo | No, add-on available |
| Stream TV VIP (230+ channels) | $145/mo | $175/mo | Yes, Starz and Starz Encore |
These are examples from Spectrum’s Atlanta offer page, reviewed October 27, not a quote for every address. Confirm the plan, premium channels and post-promotion rate for your home. An activation fee and taxes may apply. VIP also includes Paramount+ with Showtime and other premium channels, so it's mostly worth it if you'd pay for several premiums anyway. For the full lineup, see our Spectrum channel list.
How to find Starz on your Spectrum lineup
- On your TV: press Guide on the Spectrum remote and scroll to the premium channel range, or use search and type "Starz."
- In the Spectrum TV app: search for Starz to see every Starz feed in your package.
- Online: use Spectrum’s channel lineup tool with your address to see the exact numbers in your area.
Starz usually comes as several feeds, such as East and West coast versions and themed channels, plus a family of Starz Encore channels. Which feeds you get depends on your local lineup.

Watching Starz in the Starz app with Spectrum
If Starz is part of your Spectrum plan, you can usually sign in to the Starz app with your Spectrum username and password through the TV provider option. That lets you watch Starz shows and movies on demand on a phone, tablet or streaming player. You can also watch the live Starz channels in the Spectrum TV app. Here's how to get the Spectrum TV app on a Fire TV Stick.
Cheaper ways to get Starz
- Starz direct: Starz’s website was advertising an intro offer starting at $4.99 a month for new subscribers on October 27, 2026. Check the regular monthly price at checkout before the intro period ends.
- Prime Video Channels: you can add Starz inside the Prime Video app and pay through Amazon.
- The Prime Video 5-streamer bundle: since September 15, 2026, Amazon has sold Starz together with AMC+, BritBox, MGM+ and PBS Masterpiece for $29.99 a month. See what's in the Prime Video bundle.
Streaming Starz on its own makes the most sense if you'd otherwise upgrade from Signature to VIP just for Starz. That upgrade adds $45 a month in the first year. If you also want HBO and Showtime, VIP may be the better deal. Compare it in what channel HBO is on Spectrum.
Starz carriage fights and blackouts
Premium networks sometimes drop off a provider's lineup during contract talks. Starz recently returned to Verizon Fios after a blackout. See Starz is back on Verizon Fios. If Starz ever goes missing from your lineup, check whether a separate direct or app subscription is available before paying again. A provider login can be affected by carriage rights.
Internet speed for streaming Starz
An HD stream needs roughly 5 to 10 Mbps, and 4K needs about 25 Mbps per screen. If several people stream at once, add those together. See how much internet speed you need for streaming, or if you only want to keep internet, read how to cancel Spectrum TV but keep the internet.
