TruVista Fiber in South Carolina and Georgia

TruVista is a regional internet provider with local offices in South Carolina and Georgia. Its South Carolina locations include Camden, Chester, Winnsboro, and Great Falls. In Georgia, it has offices in Toccoa, Commerce, Tifton, and Soperton. An office in a city does not mean every address there can get fiber; check the exact service address before choosing a plan.

What kind of internet does TruVista offer?

TruVista markets fiber internet with symmetrical upload and download speeds, and it also offers other connection types in parts of its footprint. The technology available to one home can differ from what is listed for the city as a whole. Ask whether a specific address qualifies for fiber-to-the-home, what speed tiers are available there, and whether the quoted speed applies to uploads as well as downloads.

How to compare a TruVista plan

Start with the full monthly price for the speed tier available at your address. Then check equipment and managed Wi-Fi charges, installation costs, promotional terms, and the price after any promotion ends. TruVista advertises unlimited data for its fiber service, but confirm the terms of the particular plan offered to you. Also ask whether service is ready for installation now or whether construction is still in progress at your address.

Why some listings say PlantTel

TruVista completed its acquisition of PlantTel in July 2022 and said the combined company would operate under the TruVista name. Older directory data may still refer to the former PlantTel business in southern Georgia. Tifton and Soperton are shown here under the current TruVista name so shoppers can compare one provider rather than mistake the old name for a separate choice.
