Can You Cancel Viasat?
Yes, you can cancel Viasat internet service, but if your plan has a minimum term you may owe an early termination fee of $15 for each month left. As of October 8, 2026, among the current new-customer plans, Viasat Essentials has a term (24 months); Unleashed and Unleashed Max are month-to-month with no termination fee. Contact Viasat Customer Care using the number on your bill to request cancellation. RSINC can help compare replacement service options, but contacting sales alone does not cancel your Viasat account.
If you cancel Viasat internet service, you will need to return any equipment leased from Viasat within 30 days of cancellation. This equipment to return is generally a Viasat Wi-Fi modem and power cord and the TRIA on the satellite dish outside your home or office. If you cancel Viasat, you should expect a Viasat equipment recovery kit from UPS with instructions for returning your equipment.
