Xfinity Highlands County Expansion: What Sebring-Area Homes Should Check

Comcast's October 29, 2026 announcement says its Highlands County expansion makes Xfinity and Comcast Business service available to more than 4,000 additional homes and businesses, including more than 1,800 previously unserved locations. The company describes the expansion as complete and reports an October 28 celebration at the Sebring Xfinity Store.

Those figures are provider-reported project totals. The October celebration does not establish that another 4,000 locations were added after earlier announcements, and it does not mean every property in Highlands County can order service.

What the announcement establishes

Previously unserved locations within that totalMore than 1,800

The previously unserved figure is part of the larger total, not an additional group to add to it. Comcast directs customers to its availability checker or the Sebring store at 3010 Herring Ave.

Check the exact service address

  1. Enter the property address, including a unit number if applicable, in Xfinity's availability checker.
  2. Confirm whether service is ready to order, requires construction or needs a manual address review.
  3. Ask for the access technology, available download and upload service, and the current broadband label.
  4. Review all charges and an installation date before cancelling an existing connection.

For nearby background, see our Sebring, Avon Park and Lake Placid directories. These are starting points for screening providers; city or ZIP listings are not property-level service confirmations.

Fiber-powered does not settle the final connection

Comcast calls the expanded network fiber-powered. That description alone does not establish fiber-to-the-home for each location or symmetrical speeds for every plan. Confirm the connection and its broadband label for your address.

Our fiber-powered versus fiber-to-the-home guide explains what to ask, and the Xfinity provider page offers broader context.

Compare the full current price

The expansion announcement is not a price quote. New-customer discounts, payment requirements, equipment, installation, taxes, data policies and renewal terms can affect the bill. Use the actual address-specific offer rather than a national promotion or a neighbor's price.

Read what you actually pay for Xfinity when reviewing an order. This page does not claim a particular promotion or monthly rate applies to every newly reached home.

If the address still cannot order

Ask the provider whether the address needs correction or is outside this project. Compare other currently available wired, fixed wireless or satellite services. Wireless eligibility depends on signal and capacity; satellite requires suitable equipment and sky access. Check each plan's complete terms and expected performance.

A ZIP search screens possible options but does not verify coverage. Our satellite comparison can help frame questions; no provider or plan promises uninterrupted service.

Frequently asked questions

Are the previously unserved locations extra to the reported total?

No. They are a subset of the additional homes and businesses reported by Comcast.

Does a countywide announcement confirm my home's eligibility?

No. Check the exact installation address and current order status with the provider.

Does fiber-powered automatically mean fiber to my home?

No. Ask what connection and upload and download service are available at the property.

Does the announcement guarantee a particular monthly price?

No. Request the current address-specific offer and its complete charges and terms.

What if my address is still unavailable?

Ask about an address review or project status, then compare other providers that can confirm service at that property.
