What Live Sports Are on HBO Max? NHL, MLB, NCAA and More for 2026-27

HBO Max streams a large slate of live sports from TNT Sports, including the NHL, MLB, NCAA March Madness, NASCAR, U.S. Soccer, Roland-Garros tennis, college football and cycling. To watch, you need the Standard plan ($18.49 a month) or Premium ($22.99 a month); the cheaper Basic With Ads plan does not include live sports. The NBA is no longer part of it, because TNT Sports’ NBA deal ended after the 2024-25 season. Paramount’s deal to buy HBO Max’s parent, Warner Bros. Discovery, could change plans later, so check before you lock in a yearly price.

Premium allows four streams at once for shows and movies but only two for sports. Ads appear on select live content on both Standard and Premium. If you get HBO Max through a bundle or a TV provider, check which tier you have, because availability varies by provider.

What HBO Max does not have

The Paramount+ merger
Paramount’s deal to buy Warner Bros. Discovery puts HBO Max and Paramount+ on track to sit under one company.
