Verizon November 2026 Mobile Fees: What Changes on Your Bill
By RSINC editorial team | Updated

Verizon's current Important Plan Information lists two November 2026 changes for mobile voice lines: the Regulatory Charge rose from $0.21 to $0.26 on November 1, and the Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge is scheduled to rise from $3.78 to $4.69 on November 15. Together, those two charges increase by $0.96 per month for an affected voice line.
Compare the two charges separately
| Voice-line charge | Earlier amount | November amount |
|---|---|---|
| Regulatory Charge | $0.21 per month | $0.26 from November 1 |
| Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge | $3.78 per month | $4.69 from November 15 |
| Combined | $3.99 per month before November 1 | $4.95 per month from November 15 |
The combined change is arithmetic from Verizon's published figures: five cents plus ninety-one cents. At the new monthly amount for a full twelve months, that is $11.52 more for one affected voice line, or $46.08 for four such lines. Those are annualized comparisons, not a prediction of the remaining charges on a 2026 bill.
Check the kind of line you have
The same primary page lists different figures for data-only lines and excludes Verizon Home Internet (Wireless) from these charges. It also identifies Verizon One and qualifying Simplicity lines added to Verizon One as including the charges. Do not multiply the voice-line change by every connected device without checking the actual line classification and plan.
This mobile surcharge notice does not establish a separate Fios increase. Review your own bill and product terms. Our Fios and Verizon 5G Home Internet comparison can help distinguish the services; a shared brand does not make their billing rules identical.
A surcharge is different from the base plan rate
Verizon describes its mobile surcharges as company charges rather than taxes imposed directly by government. Keep the plan's base rate, company surcharges, taxes, device payments and optional services in separate columns when comparing bills. A change in one category does not explain every difference in the total.
If you rely on a price commitment, read the terms attached to your own plan. Ask whether the commitment covers only the base service rate or also the particular surcharge. This guide does not extend one plan's terms to every Verizon account or promise that a charge will be waived.
Reconcile your next bill
Compare the same line on two statements and note the service dates. Ask Verizon to identify the charge, affected line type and effective date if the figures differ. Keep the written explanation or case reference. Check discounts and separate device payments before attributing the entire bill increase to these two items.
When comparing an alternative bundle, use the recurring total and eligibility conditions rather than only the advertised service rate. Our mobile and home bundle guide provides related comparison questions. Availability and plan eligibility still require a complete-address and account check.
