Ting Fiber Is Leaving Colorado Springs: What the Switch to gFiber Means for Your Service
Updated

If you have Ting Fiber in Colorado Springs, your service keeps running for now, but you'll need to choose a new provider in 2027. On October 21, 2026, Ting's parent Tucows agreed to transfer its lease on the Colorado Springs Utilities fiber network to Google Fiber Colorado (gFiber). Neighborhoods start switching to gFiber in early 2027, and the deal is expected to close March 31, 2027. The switch isn't automatic: you have to sign up with gFiber or another provider before your neighborhood changes over.

- Sign up for gFiber email updates for your address to get priority installation and your transition date.
- Pick a new plan with gFiber or another provider and schedule installation.
- Don't cancel Ting until your new service works; Ting says it can't restart canceled service in Colorado Springs.
- Return your Ting ONT and any eero devices within 14 days using the prepaid label. If you switch to gFiber, the installer removes the Ting ONT.
- Expect a few hours offline on install day if you move to gFiber.
