How to Get Free Amazon Prime With Spectrum Internet: Who Qualifies and How to Claim It
By RSINC editorial team | Updated

If your household qualifies for Spectrum Internet Assist, Spectrum will include a full Amazon Prime membership with your internet service at no extra cost. You don't have to be on the Internet Assist plan itself. Spectrum says qualifying customers can be on any Spectrum Internet speed tier, and both new and existing Prime members can claim it at Spectrum.net/Prime.
Start with the Spectrum provider guide and our Spectrum Internet Assist guide when checking eligibility.
Spectrum announced the benefit on August 25, 2026, and valued it at $14.99 a month, or $139 a year. Here's who qualifies, how to turn it on and what to watch for.
Who qualifies
The offer is tied to eligibility for Spectrum Internet Assist, the company's low-income internet program with speeds up to 50 Mbps. Households usually qualify through programs such as the National School Lunch Program or Supplemental Security Income. Spectrum checks eligibility and availability by address, so confirm with Spectrum before you count on it.
- New and existing Spectrum Internet customers can qualify.
- You can keep a faster plan. Spectrum says qualifying customers can be on any internet tier.
- You can be a new Prime member or move an existing membership over.
- Charter's August announcement said legacy Cox eligibility would follow later; check your account for the current rollout status.

How to claim Amazon Prime through Spectrum
- Go to Spectrum.net/Prime and sign in with your Spectrum username and password.
- Select Get Started.
- You'll be sent to Amazon. Sign in to your Amazon account or create one, then select Continue.
- Download the Prime apps you want and start using your membership.
If you already pay for Prime
If you pay Amazon directly, Spectrum says you can switch that membership to the Spectrum benefit from Spectrum.net/Prime. If you get Prime through a third party, such as another company's bundle, you have to cancel it first and wait for the last billing cycle to finish before activating through Spectrum. Confirm the cancellation and activation timing with Amazon and Spectrum before changing an existing subscription.
What to watch for
- Prime is tied to your Spectrum Internet account, so it ends if you cancel or no longer qualify.
- Internet Assist has its own monthly price and equipment terms. Check the current price with Spectrum before you sign up.
- Prime includes Prime Video, but some movies, channels and live events still cost extra.
