Sparklight Launches 2 Gig Internet in Arizona: Prescott Valley, Globe-Miami and Safford-Thatcher

Sparklight, the cable internet brand of Cable One, has launched Multi-Gig internet with speeds up to 2 Gig in three Arizona areas: Prescott Valley, the Globe-Miami area and the Gila Valley around Safford and Thatcher. The Prescott Valley launch was announced on October 20, 2026.

What's new in Prescott Valley

The 2 Gig launch follows Sparklight's June 2026 upgrade, when it moved Prescott Valley customers to 1 Gig speeds and lowered monthly rates. Sparklight says it invested more than $50 million in network upgrades across Greater Prescott from 2023 to 2025 to add capacity and redundancy.

Customers can pair Multi-Gig plans with Sparklight's Intelligent Wi-Fi, a whole-home mesh system powered by eero. The eero app lets you see connected devices, set up guest access, run diagnostics and set parental controls. A mesh system matters at these speeds, because a single router often can't deliver multi-gig speeds to every room.

Do you need 2 Gig?

Most households don't. A gig plan handles several 4K streams, video calls and gaming at once. 2 Gig makes more sense for large households, people who move big files for work, or homes with a lot of connected devices. To actually see more than 1 Gbps, you also need a device with a multi-gig Ethernet port or a Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 setup.

Outside the cable area: satellite options
