Rogers Satellite uses SpaceX's Starlink satellites to connect compatible phones and smartwatches where there's no cell tower. The free trial ended when the service launched commercially on December 9, 2025. Here's what it costs as of October 2026.

Rogers Satellite price (CAD)

  • New Rogers 5G+ Lite, Essentials, Popular or Ultimate plans: included while you stay on an eligible plan.
  • Other Rogers customers: $10/month for the first 12 months, then currently $15/month.
  • Customers of other carriers: $15/month for a satellite-only Rogers account.
  • Compatible Apple Watch plans: included until December 31, 2027.

You don't have to switch carriers

Rogers says the service is open to anyone with a compatible device. You keep your current plan, open a Rogers Satellite account and set up an eSIM, then your phone switches between your regular network and the satellite service. The phone must be carrier-unlocked.

How to add it

Existing Rogers customers can add it in MyRogers under Manage Add-ons. Any discount you qualify for appears on your next bill.

What it's for

Rogers Satellite covers satellite-to-mobile messaging and a set of satellite-ready apps. Rogers notes that satellite-ready apps don't work on smartwatches. It isn't a replacement for home internet. For that you'd need a Starlink dish or another home service.
