Internet and Phone Referral Rewards: Verified Credits and Switching Terms

A referral reward, account credit and switching reimbursement are different offers. Before ordering internet or a phone bundle for a holiday promotion, check what is paid, who qualifies, when it arrives and whether you must submit a separate claim.

See provider contract buyouts and negotiating an internet bill. A one-time reward should be compared with the ongoing bill.

welo: account credits after qualifying service

welo’s ground rules offer a $100 account credit to the customer and referred friend when the friend uses the referral code and maintains service for 60 consecutive days. The credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Read the current referral rules before sharing a code or ordering.

Our welo New Hampshire guide explains its launch plans and price-for-life conditions. A referral does not establish that the provider serves a particular address.

Optimum: different rewards for internet and mobile

The official Optimum referral page lists $50 for referring qualifying internet service, or $100 when the friend also adds Optimum Mobile. The friend receives a $50 bill credit. The terms require qualifying service of at least 200 Mbps and an active account in good standing for 60 days; Optimum Advantage Internet is excluded.

Check the current payout method and program rules. A friend’s bill credit is not cash, and eligibility for an internet-and-mobile reward depends on both services meeting the stated conditions. See the Optimum provider guide.

T-Mobile: early-termination reimbursement

T-Mobile’s Contract Freedom offer is a switching reimbursement rather than a referral payment. Its current home-internet terms describe up to $750 toward a qualifying previous provider’s early-termination fee via a virtual prepaid card, with 60 days of new service before validation.

The terms require proof within the stated submission period and exclude costs such as equipment, device non-return and late fees. The card has no cash access and expires after six months. Read the current claim instructions before cancelling an old contract.

Compare the net cost

Write down twelve months of service charges, equipment and installation costs, then subtract only rewards you can qualify for and redeem. Keep the offer terms, activation date and submission confirmation. If a reward is a bill credit, check when it posts and what happens if the account closes.

Unverified gift-card amounts and secondary-roundup offers are omitted here. Confirm the provider’s current written terms rather than assuming all holiday promotions can be combined.
