Atlanta Hawks Games Move to Prime Video: How to Watch Local Hawks Games in 2026-27 Without Cable

On Oct 20, 2026, the Atlanta Hawks announced that Prime Video will be the exclusive streaming home for their local games in the 2026-27 season. The arrangement adds Prime Video as an in-market streaming option while local broadcasts remain available over the air. The season opens Wednesday, Oct 21, against the Orlando Magic.

Who can watch on Prime Video

If you live inside the Hawks' regional TV territory, which covers parts of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Mississippi, you can watch eligible games with an Amazon Prime membership at no extra cost. The deal covers 74 regular-season games, not counting games reserved for exclusive national broadcasts. Watch in the Prime Video app on streaming players, smart TVs, phones and tablets.

Free over-the-air option

The Hawks' partnership with Gray Media continues, so games also air free over the air on WANF and Peachtree Sports Network, along with Gray Media stations across Georgia. An indoor or rooftop antenna is all you need for those.

What happened to the old regional channel?

The viewing options changed for 2026-27. Check each Hawks game listing for its local broadcaster or national rights holder instead of relying on last season's channel.

National games and other basketball

National Hawks games still air wherever the league places them. Prime Video also carries an expanded slate of national NBA games this season, including NBA Cup games, the Play-In Tournament and the Eastern Conference Finals. Internet speed for Prime Video games

Live sports are the hardest test for home internet. Use a steady connection and put the TV on Ethernet if you can. If several people are online at once, test the stream where you watch before game night. If your connection struggles on game night, compare Georgia internet providers at your address.
