The Comcast breach settlement’s September 14, 2026 claim deadline has passed. As of this October 27 review, the court-authorized settlement site reports approval on August 20 but does not give a definite payment date in its payment FAQ.

For related protection, see checking breach exposure and recognizing scam calls. A settlement update and a request to pay an unexpected fee are different things.

What the official site says

The case is Hasson v. Comcast Cable Communications LLC in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The announced fund is $117.5 million, covering approved benefits and other court-authorized costs. Comcast denies wrongdoing and liability.

The settlement generally concerns people sent notice that their information may have been compromised in the October 2023 breach. The official notice and exclusions determine membership; simply being a current Xfinity customer does not establish an approved cash claim.

When payments may arrive

The administrator’s FAQ says benefits are distributed after final approval and resolution of any challenges. It does not provide a calendar payment date. Approval and actual distribution are separate steps. This guide does not claim that no appeal exists or promise a payment month.

What a payment could include

The benefit plan describes documented losses and lost-time claims, or an alternative cash payment estimated at $50, subject to proportional adjustment. An estimate is not a guaranteed check amount. The fund also covers identity-defense and restoration services under the settlement’s terms.

Eligible class members received individual enrollment codes for the identity services. Read the instructions attached to your notice rather than treating a cash-claim confirmation and an identity-service enrollment as the same process.

What existing claimants can do now

  • Keep the submitted claim confirmation and supporting records.
  • Check the court-authorized settlement website for distribution updates.
  • Use the administrator’s official contact route for an address or payment-detail question.
  • Review messages carefully before entering personal or financial information.

Do not rely on an old visible “Submit Claim” button as evidence that the deadline remains open. If you missed the deadline or have a disputed claim, ask the administrator about your specific situation; this article cannot determine an exception or legal entitlement.

The official administrator site is comcastbreachsettlement.com. Read its current notices and documents for case-specific information.
