Airties Aura Brings Agentic AI to Home Wi-Fi

On September 8, 2026, Paris-based Airties introduced Aura — short for Agentic AI that Understands, Reasons and Automates. It is not a new consumer mesh you buy at a big-box store. It is a software engine for internet providers: it reads the home (devices, apps, gateway, extenders), names the actual fault, and then either fixes it or hands a guided action to a human. If you have AT&T, Cox, T-Mobile, or another Airties-backed operator, Aura is the kind of change you will feel as fewer “reboot your router” loops — not as a new SSID on the fridge.
Airties already sits in more than 50 million connected homes and businesses and sells hardware-agnostic software across fiber, cable/DSL, and fixed wireless. Named operator customers in the launch materials include AT&T, Cox, Deutsche Telekom, Telia, Telstra, T-Mobile US, and Vodafone. Aura is meant to sit on top of that estate and turn a decade of Wi-Fi telemetry into agents that act.
What “agentic” means here
Most ISP “AI” for the last few years was a dashboard that scored your Wi-Fi and suggested a channel change. Agentic systems go further: they choose a next step and, under policy, execute it. Airties’ own product page walks a concrete loop — the engine sees 31 devices, a TV app, CPE and Wi-Fi telemetry; it decides the fault is a weak backhaul to an extender, not the access line; it steers the TV onto 5 GHz and re-optimizes the mesh. The company claims that class of fix can complete in a couple of seconds with no truck and no call.
CEO and co-founder Metin Taskin described Aura as combining existing Airties automation into one engine so operators can “empower their teams with autonomous, AI-driven action.” Chief technical and product officer Sachin Chickballapur stressed the unglamorous half: agentic AI is only deployable with trusted data and governance. Aura is built to be supervised. Operators decide which actions run alone and which need approval, and they can widen that autonomy as they trust the results.
First operator: TurkNet
The first announced deployment is TurkNet, which is embedding Aura inside its existing Airties Home platform. CEO Cem Celebiler framed the goal as more than faster tickets: anticipate needs, catch problems earlier, and treat AI as a decision tool, not only a process accelerator. That is the pattern other ISPs will copy if the churn and truck-roll math works — start on the homes already running Airties, do not rip out the gateway fleet.
What Aura actually does for an ISP
Launch materials group the capabilities into a few buckets:
- Agentic automation with a human-in-the-loop switch: clear recommendation, then a controlled action (reboot a node, steer a band, roll or roll back firmware).
- Persona-aware answers. A frontline agent on a live call gets a short summary. A network engineer gets a full diagnostic. The subscriber, in the operator’s app, gets plain language — “restart this extender,” “set up a guest network.”
- Careview and workflow fit. Aura writes into tools operators already use, including Airties Careview, instead of inventing a sixth console. It also advertises agent-to-agent hooks so a carrier’s own AI stack can call Aura.
- Fleet-scale anomaly and threat detection across home and small-business networks, not only one noisy living room.
The business case Airties is selling is familiar: better first-contact resolution, more issues found before the customer notices, fewer truck rolls and repeat visits, higher NPS, lower churn. Marketing teams get natural-language audience queries and churn-risk flags. Engineering gets auditable automation for firmware and configuration tests. None of that ships as a $199 router box with “Aura” on the bezel.
What it means if you are the household
You will not “switch to Aura” the way you switch to a new mesh brand. If your provider licenses it, the symptoms of a good deployment are negative: the TV stops falling off the extender, the care agent already knows the backhaul is the problem, the app offers a one-tap fix that used to take a 40-minute hold. The risk of a bad deployment is the opposite of magic — an autonomous change that steers you onto a worse band, or a firmware rollback you did not ask for. That is why the governance story is not boilerplate. Ask, if you ever get a pushy “we optimized your Wi-Fi” notice, whether you can see the change log in the provider app.
Aura also does not replace a bad access network. An agent that perfectly tunes Wi-Fi cannot create mid-band 5G capacity at 8 p.m. or turn coax into symmetrical fiber. It is an in-home and operations layer. Shop the physical plan first; treat smarter self-care as a bonus on whoever already reaches the house.

Where this sits in the 2026 Wi-Fi-AI pile
Cable operators have spent two years talking up in-home AI (Comcast’s xFi-style learning, various “self-healing” mesh claims). Enterprise vendors shipped generative search for IT Wi-Fi. Aura’s bet is operator-grade agents on a dataset Airties already owns — tens of millions of homes — plus a name that makes the agentic pitch explicit. Hardware remains whoever’s gateway the ISP already bought. That is the point: Airties sells the brain, not a new plastic war.

How is subscriber consent handled when an agent changes a band or guest network? How do you keep a marketing prompt from touching production firmware? Airties says those knobs exist.
