Viasat is obviously not the only company in the Telecommunications services industry. There are a couple companies to choose from when looking for internet service and they are all in competition with each other. AT&T is a company most people know about and have possibly looked into for internet service. The’re revenue is around $179 billion and is considered one of the larger companies. Verizon is another company that many people have heard of before. They are a popular service for having good accessibility for its customers. Sprint is another one of those bigger competitors. Sprint only has about 28,000 employees compared to Verizon with around 144,000 employees and Viasat with around 5,600 employees. It is still considered in the running with the big competitors though. Global Eagle is one of the smaller companies with about 1,300 employees and with a revenu of about 600 million. This is one company who works in the airline and travel industry. Intelsat is another competitor that was founded in 1964 and is specifically a communications satellite services provider. There are more competitors that are continuously trying to get the better hand over the other companies, but this is only a handful.
