What equipment do you need for Viasat?

Viasat Equipment

When you sign up for Viasat internet service, Viasat will provide all the equipment that you will need for your internet service needs. The equipment needed for Viasat includes a Satellite antenna dish, transceiver and bracket assembly, Viasat WIFI Gateway which contains a modem, wireless router, and VoIP phone adapter (if using phone service), a 7 foot or longer cable and a possible pole. Up to 150 feet of RG-6 cable that connects the antenna to the modem is also needed with the necessary mounting and cabling hardware. All of which will be supplied. The customer should check with the property owner to obtain the necessary permission if it is needed. Viasat does not offer a self-service option so a Viasat technician will need to perform all equipment installations and will answer any questions needed about the location of the satellite dish. The cable will be routed through an exterior wall or floor and interior wall or floor. The hole will be made if there is not one available. No other modems or antennas are supported by the Viasat system. A pole mount option may be available if installing on the roof is not an option for the individual customer.
